- The Cisco Nexus Titanium Emulator is just that it is an emulator of a Nexus 7000 series switch, and will allow you to get your fingers wet on using the Nexus Operating System (NX-OS).
- There is a simulator for NX-OS named 'Titanium'. But is only for internal use and from what I understand there are no current plans to offer it publicly.

5 years agoI won't say that GNS3 is obsolete since I got downvoted and caused an uproar with my last post. People were asking about the switching and whether or not it is supported in VIRL. The answer is yes. The demo they had that you could play with did not have the NX-OSv (Titanium) image. But the demo they were showing on the expo floor did have it working with an image that comes up as a Nexus 7000 with several 48 port modules. Also, there is regular L2 switching in VIRL just like GNS3 where you can drag what they call a 'multipoint connection' into your topology and attach devices and servers to it. The L2 multipoint connection will show as a switch in one of the network maps you can view. Pics of L2 segment are here - http://i.imgur.com/Ou6kWQ4.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/oSF21DG.jpg
